Abstract

The study reflects the experience lived by the resident in social work in a Family Health Strategy - ESF, in the city of Manaus, in the sense of verifying if the action of this professional was based on his professional ethical-political project. The insertion took place from April to August 2016. It is an experience report that allowed inferring how many are the challenges and possibilities for the professional performance of the social worker in this space of in-service education. Therefore, an investigative and interventional posture is required. We conclude that the insertion of the social worker in the multidisciplinary residency in health can contribute to the improvement of their academic-professional training, in addition to qualifying the services offered to the population in favor of improving personal and collective health levels.
