The Urban Environmental History approach

The aim of this article is to discuss Urban Environmental History based on a historiographical review that seeks to analyze the emergence of this field of study and tits relationship with the field of Environmental History, to indicate some of its main authors and to define its main themes. The historiographical review is the result of a selection of authors, articles and works by North American researchers, taking into account the methodological approach of the Systematic Literature Review (SLR). Initially, aspects relating to the urbanization process in the period after the Second World War, its effects on environmental transformations, and the emergence of the field of Environmental History, arising from the transformations that took place in the 60s and 70s.
