Racialização e feminização da negligência
uma análise intersecional da violência e suas contribuições para a formação na psicologia e no serviço social
Abstract
This article analyzes child neglect from an intersectional perspective, based on the doctoral thesis "Families and expressions of neglect in childhood: implications of class and gender in social protection." It argues that the responsibility for neglect is unequally distributed, falling more intensely on women. This feminization of the problem is deepened with a racial analysis, showing how poverty and structural inequalities make Black women doubly vulnerable. The overload of care and lack of support are often confused with individual failures. The text questions how this biased view impacts the work of child protection councils and institutions, directly affecting family authority. We conclude that training in Psychology and Social Work must adopt intersectionality as a tool to deconstruct these biases, promoting a more just and effective professional practice.
