Sustainable Community Tourism at Lake Zé Açu in the Municipality of Parintins (AM)
Abstract
The article aims to socialize the experience of community tourism developed by the Cooperative of Agrotourism and Socioeconomic and Environmental Sustainability of Communities of Zé Açu (COOPAZÇU), which since 2014 has been organizing itineraries and tour packages for visits to the natural beauties of Lake Zé Açu, as well as to know a little about the ways of life of these Amazonian people. This initiative was supported by the research project "Environmental Education for sustainable community tourism in rural riverside communities", funded by the Observatory of Creative Economy of the State of Amazonas-OBEC/AM, carried out in 2014 together with the communities that are located on the shores of Lake Zé Açu. The result served as the basis for two tourist visits in the locality, formalize partnerships and build a visit calendar.
