Abstract

The obligation to receive and enroll all students, regardless of their needs or differences, is very clear in Brazilian legislation, including those with some type of disability. However, it is essential that the student with special educational needs have effective conditions for learning and development, and it is the school's responsibility to offer specialized assistance to this clientele. Therefore, the aim of the present study was to enable the construction of didactic materials adapted “Animal and Vegetable Cells”, for blind students, in the teaching of Biology, and regarding the effectiveness of this resource for the teaching and learning of students in the Service Room Specialized Educational Program (AEE), from the Dom Gino Malvestio-Parintins / AM State School, under the coordination of scholarship holders of the CAPES / UEA Pedagogical Residency Program. Biology, which often presents in its contents activities that need not only to be viewed with the naked eye, but also to use equipment, such as magnifying glasses and a microscope, to visualize an invisible world, requires the teacher to adapt didactic resources, so that blind students can manipulate this material and when using tactile perceptions understand the content that is taught to them.
