Teacher's training profile from rural high schools in agrarian settlements in Ceará

Abstract

This article presents the training profile of teachers from rural high schools in Ceará, located in agrarian settlements. That aims to understand how these schools condense different interests of the institutions that built them, the State Department of Education, and the Movement of Landless Rural Workers. Through the application and analysis of a mixed questionnaire, it exposes aspects related to initial and continued training carried, as well those out in service. The data were analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. ATLAS.ti software was used to organize the data using the content analysis method. Teachers are building training alternatives for their students, so it is necessary to think about the bases on they construct their activities. It was possible to understand some of the difficulties faced by teachers in working with the specificity of rural education thanks to an initial training that does not occur in this field
