In its new issue, Somanlu: Journal of Amazonian Studies presents the dossier "Amazon(s) and Africa(s): economic, political, and sociocultural connections", which brings together articles and an interview discussing the historical, cultural, and social interfaces between the African continent and the South American region, highlighting its rich Afro-Amazonian legacy. The dossier also includes additional contributions that explore the diversity and complexity of African societies, analyzed through the perspectives of researchers born on the continent.
