Abstract

The Municipal Secretary of Education of Manaus - AM, promotes this year 2023 the XI Municipal Fair of Science, Technology and Environmental Education - FMCTEA with the theme: "The fascinating interaction between fire, science and life: discoveries and Manaus impacts", this event that brings together, for more than a decade, teachers, students, schools and communities in general to develop scientific-methodological research projects in order to contribute to the development of an increasingly fair, egalitarian and democratic society, through science, technology and environmental education.

The FMCTEA, through an open letter to all and any public school of SEMED - Manaus, reaches the 510 teaching units of the regional areas of the city, directly or indirectly. Promoting the culture of science fairs in schools, valuing the knowledge formed and traditional knowledge of communities around schools, of young and very young children of early childhood education to the elderly of EJA, allowing them to participate through the development of scientific projects.

The various teaching methods of the Manaus public network collaborate with originality and innovation in the scientific projects presented over the years, highlighting their context and their subjects as a source for many investigations, contributing to the understanding of their history, formation and changes. Likewise, the Municipal Secretary of Education values ​​science, technology and environmental education, in these unique environments that fairs provide to society, presenting through research the quality of teaching and learning of teachers and students of the capital.
