Resumo

Travando uma discussão epistemológica, o artigo em questão defende que as intermediações discursivas são formas de mitigar as incompletudes das representações. Parte do pressuposto de que mente e matéria fazem parte de um entrelace indissociável, o que justifica a importância da reflexão quanto às representações. O ponto de partida para a compreensão da incompletude das representações é a consideração que estas suprimem uma quantidade expressiva da experiência temporal e espacial, reproduzindo imagens que são fortalecidas nas relações de afeto. Destaca-se, também, que frequentemente o intelectual cai em uma espécie de armadilha paradoxal: ao desconstruir estereótipos no interior de uma dada temática, há uma tendência à generalização e à elaboração de tipologias que estereotipam a pluralidade imaginativa. São estes problemas discursivos que o artigo busca abordar.
