IDENTIFICATION AND RECOGNITION OF EMOTIONS IN FIRST GRADE CHILDREN
Abstract
The COVID-19 pandemic, which affected the socio-emotional development of children, highlighted the importance of this area of development and generated the need for their attention at school; in this context, the objective of this work was that first grade primary school boys and girls were to advance in the identification and expression of basic emotions, and in their group integration. From the sociocultural perspective of psychology, an experiential workshop was scheduled for the appropriation of the thematic contents. In the results, the boys and girls achieved significant advances in the appropriation of the contents and resources. The conclusion highlights the relevance of the experiential strategy for socio-emotional development, and the need to work on it in all school activities, assuming that human development is an integral process.
