The mapped experience occurred during the activities of Master's Degree by the Federal University of Sergipe. The research field was Nossa Senhora de Lourdes Maternity (MNSL), a reference in pregnancy and high-risk births in the States of Sergipe, Brasil. Based on the premises that the practice of research is a form of care that allows the cultivation of an existential territory in which the researcher and the researched meet, and on the idea that the human being and the world are the result of a process of coproducing, the researcher was able, together with the respondents, to analyze, to describe the hard lines that give shape to the woman-being, as well as to create escape lines in practices of taking care of themselves potentiated by the way of doing research.
