Abstract

In the bosom of the deconstruction of identity and according to contemporary studies, we reach the margin of thinking and doing in the subject's perspective in connection with signification and also with language. Orlandi (1990: 14-16) points out that prejudiced discourses since the discovery of the New World, as it was called America, constitute processes of signification that define the Brazilian as a cultural subject and promote the erasure of the historical aspect (subject to historical). Therefore, the present work was the result of a theoretical research carried out during the discipline identity, language and culture. By means of the professor Dr. Raimundo Nonato de Oliveira Falabelo (PPGEDUC / UFPA-Cametá / Pará), during the period from March to June of 2018. Thus, it is understood that cultural identity is a web of infinite social relationships, established historically, weaving values ​​among the individuals of a society. Then, from the cultural studies one can create new possibilities to understand the interaction of the subject with the society and mainly the constitution of its identity.
