Primary and secondary schools in our country, in general, have been the scene of numerous situations regarding the mental health of adolescents enrolled there. One of the issues considered most relevant concerns the relational configurations often experienced under the bias of dysfunctionality. This work is the result of the Psychological Duty at Escola de Manaus and aims to listen to the suffering that the teenager is going through and, with that, find strategies that he can use to face the situation. Listening is of phenomenological inspiration and the method used is the phenomenological research in Psychology. The look of understanding for the speeches is based on the theoretical contribution of phenomenological-existential Psychology. The meetings took place at the school itself with 15 adolescents and 1 adult, female (8) and male (8), aged between 15 and 21 years, high school. Listening allowed us to delve into several situations: self-injury (3), affective-sexual relationships (4), dysfunctional family relationships (3), anxiety crises (3), aggressiveness (1), sexual abuse and abusive relationships (1), excessive shyness (1). In the qualitative bias, two teenagers were heard and their speeches were used for the analysis. It was noticed in the speeches issues related to the commitment of their human world and their own in view of their relationships with others and with themselves being experienced under the bias of pain and existential suffering. It is concluded that the listening developed in this type of activity enables the other to take responsibility for his own journey, for facing these situations experienced.
