Abstract

Universities are continually required to contribute to the discussion of sustainability, mainly because it is an environment with the possibility of encouraging the transformation of society towards sustainable development. This study seeks to analyze the correlations between behaviors and competences for sustainability, as well as proposes models to estimate the contribution of environmental variables in the perception of a university recognized by socio-environmental actions. Therefore, a quantitative study was carried out with a sample composed of 1056 individuals belonging to the academic community of a University. Among the findings, the set of correlations between behaviors, competences for sustainability and contributions of environmental variables are described. Finally, three models are presented that explain the University's contribution to behaviors, competencies and perception of the Green University.
