A Phenomenological Perspective on the City

A Phenomenological View of the City is an attempt to look at the city from the perspective of a method which takes into account the subjectivity which is present in our perceptions. First we discuss some ideas of phenomenology, especially the notion of intentionality, which will be the starting point for the analyses of Husserl for an understanding of metaphysical reality. Next we will try to show that phenomenology helps us to see the city through other eyes, that is, it won't be merely a sensory perception, but a view which seeks meaning and comprehension of data, since we see starting from an awareness of things.
