Abstract

The present work has as its central theme the psychology of investigation and human trafficking. The bibliographical and qualitative methodology examined available literature in order to collect data and convergent analysis categories. In a practical way, the objective is to know the dynamics related to the crime of human trafficking – one of the cruelest and most lucrative practiced -, as well as the contribution of applied psychology in the studies and constituent elements. Criminal repression is considered insufficient according to data released by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC, 2018). The research in question is in line with the references that point to failures regarding the fight against the crime of human trafficking, recommending public policies, and government policies, in order to achieve greater efficiency in prevention and repression.
