The burnout syndrome and the SARS-COV-2 pandemic

A study on teacher resilience with educators from the public network of Parintins-AM

Abstract

This study was carried out in the public education network of the city of Parintins-AM, addressing a topic very relevant to the world of work, the Professional Exhaustion Syndrome, known as Burnout Syndrome. Specifically in the initial period of the pandemic experienced today, resulting from the SARS-COV-2 coronavirus, Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2, responsible for the disease COVID-19. The research was configured qualitatively with a case study approach. As for data techniques, participant observation, reports of teaching experiences that translate the voices of participants through interactions and semi-structured questionnaires were used. It is important to point out that it is not only the factors resulting from the
microsocial sphere of the school and their interrelationships that must be worked on so that the Burnout syndrome is attenuated, but part, above all, of macro organizational
factors, which must consider the health of the worker, in especially that of educators, as a very important bias in the development of healthy actions for professional wellbeing.
