Submissões

O cadastro no sistema e posterior acesso, por meio de login e senha, são obrigatórios para a submissão de trabalhos, bem como para acompanhar o processo editorial em curso. Acesso em uma conta existente ou Registrar uma nova conta.

Condições para submissão

Como parte do processo de submissão, os autores são obrigados a verificar a conformidade da submissão em relação a todos os itens listados a seguir. As submissões que não estiverem de acordo com as normas serão devolvidas aos autores.
  • A contribuição é original e inédita, e não está sendo avaliada para publicação por outra revista; caso contrário, deve-se justificar em "Comentários ao editor".

  • O arquivo da submissão está em formato Microsoft Word, OpenOffice ou RTF.
  • Onde disponível, os URLs para as referências foram fornecidos.
  • O texto está em espaço simples; usa uma fonte de 12-pontos; emprega itálico em vez de sublinhado (exceto em endereços URL); as figuras e tabelas estão inseridas no texto, não no final do documento na forma de anexos.
  • O texto segue os padrões de estilo e requisitos bibliográficos descritos em Diretrizes para Autores, na página Sobre a Revista.

Author's Guide

Conditions for Submission

  • Authors must ensure that their submissions are original, unpublished and are not being evaluated by another journal.
  • Manuscripts must be submitted in Microsoft Word format and must not exceed 5MB (Guidelines for authors, Template).
  • Links to Internet pages in the text must be active.
  • The text should be formatted with 1.5 spacing, 12-point Times New Roman font, using italics instead of underlining (except URLs). Long quotations, footnotes, and captions should be single-spaced. Paragraphs should be indented 1.25 cm, and figures and tables should be incorporated throughout the text. The length limit is 25 pages.

Formatting and Submission Guidelines

  • All papers must adhere to the stylistic and bibliographical guidelines detailed in the 'About the Journal' section on our website.
  • Authorship must be anonymous in the file and document properties to ensure blind peer review.
  • Complete author information, including ORCID, institutional affiliations, and email for correspondence, should be entered in the submission system or at the end of the same manuscript.

Thematic Area

  • The journal focuses on the field of environmental sciences. At least one of the authors of collective submissions must have a PhD.

Open Access Policy

  • Published under the Open Access model, the journal allows reading, downloading and dissemination of content, in accordance with the rules of the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license.

Policy Against Plagiarism and Research Misconduct

  • In accordance with COPE guidelines, our editorial policy is designed to prevent plagiarism, malpractice and fraud. Visit the COPE website for more information on research ethics.

Specific Submission Criteria

  • After publication, authors must wait at least two years to submit a new article.
  • Any data or analysis from previous publications must be clearly cited.
  • Final approval of articles is the responsibility of the editors and editorial board.

Assessment Procedures

  • Manuscripts are initially evaluated using the CrossCheck system to identify plagiarism and duplications.
  • Articles that pass this phase are sent for peer review.

Article Submission

  • Articles must be submitted electronically through the journal's portal. The process includes details on formatting, article structure, and citation guidelines.

Copyright Policy

  • Authors retain copyright but grant the journal the right of first publication under the CC BY 4.0 license, which allows sharing and adaptation of the content.

Privacy Policy

  • Personal information provided is used exclusively for the purposes of the magazine and is not shared with third parties.

Formatting and Citation Conventions

  • During the submission process, the full names of the authors (maximum three), ORCID, institutional addresses and email of the corresponding author must be entered.
  • Articles should be subdivided into the following subtitles: Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Conclusion/Final Considerations and References.
  • The title must have a maximum of twenty words, in Portuguese and English, accurately. A short title, with a maximum of six words that are not cited in the main title, must also be provided.
  • Abstracts should be 300 to 500 words long and include the topic, research objective, theoretical approach, methods, results, and conclusion. Up to six keywords should be added at the end of the abstract.
  • Articles must be between 15 and 25 pages long, formatted in A4 with 2.5 cm margins, written with 1.5 spacing in Word using Times New Roman font size 12.
  • Figures and tables must not exceed 17 cm in width and must be inserted into the text immediately after being cited.
  • The journal allows a maximum of 5% self-citations for each submitted article. This is monitored to ensure the diversity and originality of the manuscripts.
  • Citations should follow the following examples:
    • 1 Author: Cite the author's surname and the year of publication. Example: In the text: Paes (2014) discusses... or In parentheses: (Paes, 2014)
    • 2 Authors: Use the last name of both authors, connected by "and" in the text or "&" in parentheses, followed by the year. Example: In the text: Veiga and Santos (2008) argue... or In parentheses: (Veiga & Santos, 2008)
    • 3 or More Authors: From the first citation, use the first author's last name followed by "et al." and the year. Example: In the text: Fragoso et al. (2000) suggest...or In parentheses: (Fragoso et al., 2000)
