EDUCAR PARA LA IGUALDAD
Abstract
An analysis is made of different human rights that are not respected or are partially respected for women just because they are women. Therefore, it is necessary to address the issue of equality and feminism in families, society and especially in schools in order to compensate for these existing gender inequalities. Feminism is seen as a social necessity. The article outlines different co-educational aspects that could be addressed in schools in a cross-cutting manner in order to work on how to eradicate these inequalities and break down stereotypes that construct gender in an unfair way. The treatment of school spaces, the hidden curriculum of education professionals, the use of gender-based language and the use and necessary analysis of school materials are addressed. It is justified that through co-education, learning that promotes aspects such as autonomy, care, co-responsibility, independence, personal empowerment, leadership capacity, commitment and social participation should be articulated. Also the recognition of one's own affective-sexual identity, the ability to establish good relationships and the demystification of the role of motherhood.
