MANEJO DE EMOCIONES, AUTOCONOCIMIENTO Y AUTOCUIDADO EN UN GRUPO DE TERCER GRADO DE PRIMARIA
Abstract
The COVID-19 pandemic, decreed at the beginning of 2020, implied widespread confinement as a necessary measure to prevent the spread of infections, so that the educational system suspended face-to-face activities to be carried out remotely, and this entire pandemic situation generated affections in the physical and emotional health of people, particularly in school children. The objective of this work was that children in the third grade of primary school, at the time of their return to face-to-face classes, would develop socio-emotional skills, as a pressing need detected in them. This psychological intervention based on the sociocultural perspective of psychology, involved the development and application of an experiential workshop on self-awareness, expression and management of emotions, self-care and group integration. The results showed significant advances in most of the children, despite the limitations of the application time and health protocols established in the school. The conclusion is that attentions to the development of the socio-emotional sphere of the schoolchildren should be immersed in all of the child´s school activities and throughout the child´s entire school life, not as an isolated intervention at a specific time.
