Abstract

The purpose of this paper is bring a history of the various truck drivers' strikes that took place in Brazil between 1959 and 2021, with emphasis on the 2018 strike, until then, the one with the greatest repercussion in the country's history. Through this paper, we will also seek to show what were the main claims of the category over time, as well as what were the gains obtained through this kind of action, in addition to the consequences of these strikes for the logistics and supply of the country.
