Cartography of a speech: agribusiness and its effects in traditional territories
Abstract
Since the beginnings of colonization in America, Brazilian territories and the richness of their biodiversity have been the target of greed represented, above all, by exploratory projects led by large landowners, who use strategies of partisan political representations, through the ruralist caucus, and of media devices such as television advertisements. In this sense, this article aims to analyze the representation of agribusiness by television advertising, elucidating its negative effects on social agents and territories, which are silenced by such advertisements that aim to expand and strengthen this economic sector, masking harmful impacts to the planet putting life and its perpetuation at risk.
