Cartography of the landscape in moviment: changes and permanenses in ribeirinho daily life
Abstract
This article highlights the report of residents of Furo Pai Pedro on the Maratauíra Coast, a territory of traditional communities on the islands of Abaetetuba, Pará. It is a differentiated experience of telling about the change in the landscape. In the memory of residents such as fishermen and açaí collectors, who live in the locality, the landscape is outlined showing the before and today, through and between the crossings between the city and the islands. In this effort, we seek to understand the change through reports that translate the life experience of these subjects with fishing, with the increasing scarcity, the collection of fruits and their crossings between cities and islands. Data collection took place through open interviews and a workshop with 5 people for the production of the sketch. Through these data, it was possible to build the social cartography of Furo Pai Pedro and realize that the advances of modern techniques, at the same time that they brought improvements in living conditions, on the other hand, devastated natural resources and changed the landscape.
