LINGUAGEM, CONCEITOS E CONSCIÊNCIA: DIÁLOGO ENTRE A PSICOLOGIA CULTURAL DE VYGOTSKY E O COGNITIVISMO
Abstract
The article deals with the dialogue between Vygotsky's cultural psychology and cognitivism from a reflection on themes such as language, concept and consciousness. In this sense, initially, a series of themes are addressed such as the relationship of language and thought, internal speech in relation to consciousness from Vygotsky onwards, together with the internal experience that is composed of cognitive phenomena that transcend the linguistic limitations used for its expression, Alain Morin's idea about inner speech is also presented, considered by the author as a window to a renegade and obscure object of psychology, which is consciousness. Then, the basic descriptions about the formation of concepts are treated, from spontaneous concepts to scientific concepts. Vygotsky's theory is also approached by dealing with the developmental elements of linguistic thinking and rational speech that make it possible to shed light on how we form concepts about the world, that is, how we organize knowledge. At the base of all human behavior is considered the “I” (self) – our sense of personal identity and who we are as individuals. The article ends by relating Vygotsky's theory in a dialogical way with the cognitive aspects of the self, the self-concept and self-awareness.
