RELEITURA DE UM PROJETO PEDAGÓGICO DO CURSO DE MEDICINA:TRINTA ANOS DO INTERNATO RURAL DA UNIVERSIDADE FEDERAL DO AMAZONAS, BRASIL

Abstract

This research sought to reflect on the contribution of the Rural Internship of the medical course at the Federal University of Amazonas-UFAM to the training of professionals prepared for professional practice in Primary Health Care, especially in the interior of Amazonas since the course was created from a dramatic appeal by a Governor, sensitized by the situation of lack of health care in these municipalities. The main objective was to seek institutional information that would allow a first approach to the problem of insufficient provision and establishment of doctors in the countryside, indirectly evaluating the contribution at UFAM in minimizing this unfavorable reality since the institution has been providing more than thirty years their medical students experience in this scenario to sensitize them to a future professional performance. To achieve the objective the qualitative approach with the use of documentary research and studies on the theme carried out in other states. After thirty-one years of uninterrupted activities, the reality has changed little, but the presence of doctors in the municipalities of the Metropolitan Region of the capital Manaus and in municipalities with greater access to means of transport and communication has already been identified, asymmetries of access or inequities remain between micro-regions within the state. This first reflection certainly needs other more in-depth studies for the production of knowledge that allows more effective and sustainable changes.
