AN ESSAY ON TEACHING
THE PERSPECTIVES OF TEACHING IN PUBLIC EDUCATION IN BRAZIL

Scientific constructions have a common basis, education, where the basis for the construction of knowledge emerges for each individual. The way education and everything involved in the learning process offered by a country can define the way different sectors, services and even the structure that this society will have. In this article, we sought to provide a synthesis of Brazilian education, highlighting the role of the teacher, their performance and functions throughout the social changes occurring in the country. To do this, it was necessary to go through the path of understanding the historical process of Brazilian education, the regulation of teaching in the country, analyze methodological approaches and new technologies and understand being a teacher its obstacles and challenges. With this it is clear that the evolution of teaching also corroborates the changes in the role of the teacher, in the representation that he had and now has, in the functions occupied, in the guidelines of academic-scientific practice, it was also possible to explore the most common methodologies and how they remained in teaching, the current perspectives of the teaching profession, in addition to seeking to present an overview of public education and its functioning.
