Learning the spelling norm can be difficult for some students, as is the case with dyslexia. The fact of being exposed to the formal teaching of spelling in the academic environment does not guarantee the mastery of spelling by students with dyslexia. For this reason, specific strategies are needed in the teaching-learning process. This article presents the development of an application called Descomplicando. It is an application for mobile devices, created to support intervention in students with learning disorders in the field of spelling. The app is made up of lists of words with complex syllables that are often misspelled by students with dyslexia. In the activities developed in three levels, the user is encouraged to choose the correct syllable that is missing from the words. A highlight of the app is the feature of pleasant sound effects as the user reaches higher scores. As future works, it is intended to carry out an opinion survey to know the impressions of users and professionals about the application, as well as to provide some form of 'tip', in order to offer the user more comfort in the game; to introduce new levels with a greater number of frequent words in the Portuguese language and expansion of the use of this application for tablets.
