Nature and Culture in the Amazon

In this article, the aims, research lines, and curricular structure of the Graduate Program Nature and Culture in the Amazon are analyzed as they were presented in the second semester of 2000. The analysis of the program’s trends and evolution seeks to relate the history of the emergence of a research program focused on the investigation of social practices and the representations that constitute forms of human existence in the Amazon to the recent history of the emergence and theoretical and methodological transformations of the human sciences.
