Structural Aspects of Cities and Their Transformations

Abstract

I shall analyze in paper some aspects related to the formation of cities and its transformation under the tenets of Marxist approaches. The main aspect which my considerations are based on has to do with the changing and transforming character which has characterized the cities way of being. The complexity involving the process of urban transformation has challenged the social structure theoretical models of analysis as well as the understanding of its formation and transformation. In order to be able to analyze this issue, I have chosen some Marxist approaches which I deemed pertinent as they permanently relate the whole and its singularities. This way, I hope to be able to contribute to shed light essential aspects of the issue
