Abstract
ENVIRONMENTAL PERSPECTIVES AND PRACTICES FOR CHILDHOOD EDUCATION AND EARLY YEARS OF FUNDAMENTAL EDUCATION IN THE AMAZON
ABSTRACT
The article discusses a critical analysis of the perspectives and insights into environmental practices of educators in training in the Pedagogy course at a federal university in Alto Solimões, a region covered by the Amazon biome with a rich biodiversity. The results are derived from a qualitative case study, highlighting the different perceptions of the graduating subjects in relation to possible environmental practices to be developed in Early Childhood Education and Early Years of Elementary Education, and their perspectives as future educators of children in the early stages of education school. The subjects present approximate views and some are more consistent with contemporary thoughts on environmental education and ecological training. Their perspectives point to the perception of possibilities for carrying out teaching work more guided by the perspective of environmental preservation and conservation in defense of nature and the humanity that is part of it.
