INTERVENCIÓN EN LUDOTECA CON NIÑOS QUEMADOS DE 0 A 2 AÑOS
Abstract
INTERVENTION IN A TOY LIBRARY WITH BURNED CHILDREN FROM 0 TO 2 YEARS OLD
Abstract: When a child suffers a burn, for which he needs to be hospitalized, a series of very important changes take place in what until then was his daily life: stop seeing his parents and relatives, inhabit a new space for a long time , strange people, painful healings, etc. If the child is very young, this can be more frightening for him, since she/he still does not speak and the ways of relating to them present us with a special challenge: attending to their needs and forms of communication. Here we present a proposal for a psychological intervention with children hospitalized for burns aged 0 to 2 years, based on the analysis of extracts from field notes of the work carried out with children who were hospitalized at the Tacubaya Pediatric Hospital in Mexico City. The challenge is to respond to the particularities of the development of children, not yet speaking, and the extent, degree and location of the burned body and thus contribute to their total well-being
