ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION IN THE PERFORMANCE OF TEACHERS: REFLECTIONS ON THE THEME IN FOUR PUBLIC SCHOOLS IN THE STATE OF ACRE, BRAZIL
Abstract: The present study will address about an investigative work, developed within some Public Schools in the State of Acre. The study addresses the need to reflect on the performance of teachers in the state public network, with regard to the way in which each has taught Environmental Education to their students. To carry out the work adopted a methodology of semi-structured changes, if still a random choice for the choice of teachers from different teaching areas, in different schools, then we tried to understand and at the same time map which knowledge of each teacher on this subject, in addition, the teachers were willing to respond as denounced. Thus, after analyzing the data, it became possible to infer that most of the teachers interviewed are unaware of or do not address Environmental Education in their teaching practices, and little has been done in relation to teaching practices that mention this topic, thus leaving a gap in the learner's head, in the process of teaching and learning Environmental Education.
