Abstract

This paper shows the results of an experiential workshop on emotional security, expressiveness and active listening given to children in the sixth grade of a multigrade primary school in the Pueblo de los Reyes, Tlalnepantla de Baz, carried out with the objective that the students develop the communication and emotional security, as well as enhance their nerve management skills. The planning of the workshop is reflected in two moments, as well as the subtopics to be treated, together with what is obtained in the need’s detection phase at each moment of the intervention, detection carried out from semi-structured interviews and the interpellation of the students themselves. For the evaluation, the field note is used, allowing information to be obtained for the improvement of both the students and the coordinators themselves. Based on the results, it is concluded that workshops of the nature of the one proposed here, where they talk about the identification and recognition of emotions, reach more school grades, since actually it is very known the importance of promoting communication skills in primary education, as these constitute the basis of all skills that can be acquired later.
