Abstract

This research proposal aims to analyze the transformations in the fashion imagination and dressing practices of Amazonian society in the context of the expansion of the so-called Belle Époque Manauara. The idea is to observe how the arrival of immigrant women who arrived in Manaus at the end of the 19th century and beginning of the 20th century impacted the fashion and haute couture market in the city of Manaus.
