Among lithics, spindles and tembetás
A report on the cataloging of the collection at the Archaeology Laboratory of the Federal University of Amazonas.
Abstract
The Amazon is a vast and largely unknown territory. One way to understand the past of this region is through Archaeology. Excavations carried out in various parts of the area reveal a scenario of extensive occupation throughout the Amazon Plain. These excavations have resulted in an immeasurable amount of archaeological material, ranging from ceramic fragments to entire funerary urns. With this in mind, it became necessary to create spaces for the storage and preservation of this material, and one of these spaces is the Archaeology Laboratory of the Federal University of Amazonas (UFAM). The objective of this article is to present the work of scientific initiation related to the deposition of collection information in the database of the Laboratory.
