“MATAR POR AMOR”: UMA ANÁLISE EVOLUTIVA SOBRE AS FACES DA VIOLÊNCIA CONTRA MULHERES NO BRASIL

Abstract

Domestic violence, which for years came to be admitted with the thesis of "legitimate defense of honor" as a cause of reduction of sentence or even exclusion of illegality, goes through a path until it finds itself typified in the Penal Code, with its own qualifier, of femicide. In this way, our research methodology is based on a bibliographic review of the main collaborators in the field of gender studies on the problem of violence against women in Brazil. The objective of the work seeks to historically trace the main legal and juridical events in the sphere of combating violence against women, talking to theoretical contributions from the field.
