EGRESSOS DA EJA NO ENSINO SUPERIOR: TRAJETÓRIA DE DESAFIOS E POTENCIALIDADES
Abstract
The Covid-19 pandemic brought many challenges to education. Regarding Youth and Adult Education (EJA), those challenges were especially difficult because of the latent social inequalities, that resulted in uneven opportunities of experiencing remote education. The object of this text is to empower the voices of the EJA graduates that enrolled into college to pursue further education. All of the research has been conducted in Faculdade Alves Faria (Unialfa), a private College in Goiânia-GO. The method was a qualitative approach, to better understand the study object (LÜDKE; ANDRÉ, 1986). This work present the first research stage, in which a small sample group of 6 Education students in Unialfa was subject to a quiz followed by focus group interviews. The results show that EJA students struggled more with learning in college, which questioned the quality of online classes during the pandemic. However, it also showed the motivation of these same students to persist in college as a wat to better the chances of upward mobility.
