Abstract

We currently live in the educational area, one of the greatest demands they the world has ever seen, the professional skills or qualifications required by the labor market are transforming the way, we educate and interact in the teaching-learning process, how we design our curricula in different educational systems, how we live and work. Professional qualifications or skills have passed and have become not only demanding moments in the exercise of different work activities, but are also increasingly ubiquitous, especially in the lives of working people around the world. Undoubtedly, this brings many educational and financial challenges, but we must also consider the fact as an opportunity associated with personal development, from the creation of necessary infrastructural conditions, of the curriculum used to operationalize the desired staff training according to the needs and supply and even to its ongoing systematic training. The demand for professional skills to carry out the most diverse activities in different economic and social sectors, the concern with personal development as an impact on increased productivity and product quality, draws attention to the intensity with which the educational system is requested. This issue of intensive participation in the training and development of qualified and competent staff, who know how to do it, has currently been the subject of research, although the results vary from study to study, there by weakening and weakening the impact of any conclusions drawn from the respective evaluations. The aim of this study is to identify some strategies that influence and ensure the long-term development of personnel, that certain employees can be placed in the positions required by the labor market at the desired time and that they become professional and measurable indicators of quality. The methodology adopted was bibliographic and documentary research with an exploratory nature, combined with narratives of experiences in Higher Education, since there are still not many quantitative studies of this kind in Mozambique. Preliminary results show that in this study and similar ones, the problem of identifying the strategy, the specific phases of the personnel development process, the factors that lead to success and socio-economic sustainability is still worrying.
