INTERVENÇÃO PSICOSSOCIAL NO CONTEXTO ESCOLAR: UM RELATO DE EXPERIÊNCIA

Abstract

This article was developed based on a practical experience proposed by the discipline Psychosocial Processes and Interventions, offered by the Graduate Program in Psychology at the Federal University of Amazonas. The objective was to carry out an experience based on the theoretical contribution of Community Social Psychology (CSP), contributing to the growth of researchers and to the students’ community of the Local School where the activities were developed. The location was chosen based on the recognition of the importance of school experience in the formation of identity and the feeling of community belonging in children and youths. Two meetings were held based on the demands raised by students regarding improvements to their school, which were developed in a clear way among the students. That said, we realized the relevance of the strategies adopted to the development of the intervention activities, which were aligned with the assumptions of the PSC in the school context. Finally, the application of the theoretical contribution of the PSC proved to be a great challenge. We realize the importance of experiencing the community and inserting ourselves in the context, regardless of the activity to be carried out.
