AUTOCUIDADO EMOCIONAL Y CUIDADO DEL ENTORNO EN UNIVERSITARIOS: COMPARTIENDO EXPERIENCIAS A TRAVÉS DE TALLERES (UNAM/MÉXICO)
Abstract
Abstract
This investigation was carried out to know what perception the young university students have of environmental and self-care by means of a workshop called “Emoción Sana en Ambiente Sano” (Healthy Emotion in a Healthy Environment). This is a transversal qualitative and, exploratory study that allowed the researchers to approach the subjective experiences regarding environmental and self-care. To do so, a group of 14 university students from the Faculty of Higher Studies (FES Iztacala, UNAM, México)) was formed and it consisted of four men and 10 women. The workshop was host via Zoom and each session lasted four hours in which the participants could share those experiences regarding mental self-care and environmental care through the relationship established between the contents of the workshop and researchers’ techniques. When the participants finished the workshop, they took part in a survey made via Google Forms with some questions about life experiences, self-care, and environmental care patterns as well as the personal and environmental factors that affect them. At the end of this workshop, it was found that the students identified the emotions related to environmental and self-care as well as new ways to take care of themselves in the environment they are involved in.
