SATISFAÇÃO COM AS VIVÊNCIAS ACADÉMICAS: VALIDAÇÃO DE QUESTIONÁRIO JUNTO DE ESTUDANTES DO 1º ANO DO ENSINO SUPERIOR EM ANGOLA
Abstract
Research on academic satisfaction assumes great relevance for the development of Higher Education quality. Students' academic satisfaction impacts their involvement in the academy, permanence and quality of learning. In this context, the present study aims to adapt and validate the Academic Satisfaction Questionnaire among students of Higher Education in Angola. Data was obtained in a non-probabilistic sample, consisting of 556 students attending the 1st year at the Higher Institute of Educational Sciences of Uíge. The factor analysis allowed the reduction of the scale structure in three dimensions, also ensuring its intelligibility in the context of research in the area: Institutional Satisfaction, Pedagogical Satisfaction, and Satisfaction with the Course. The internal consistency of the items for each of these three dimensions reached adequate values. It is expected that this questionnaire will be used in Angolan university contexts, expanding the investigation around students’ academic experiences, and increasing knowledge about the factors that promote their academic success and the completion rates of the courses.
