EVASÃO DO ENSINO SUPERIOR E PAPEL PREDITIVO DO ENVOLVIMENTO ACADÊMICO
Abstract
in dropout. In the study, 216 volunteers of both sexes participated, who answered a characterization survey and the Academic Involvement Scale, from the sixth to the eighth week of the course. After two years of the initial survey, 84 students were identified as dropout. The model composed by age, work, the turn in which he is enrolled in higher education and involvement with mandatory activities, analyzed by logistic regression, showed to be adjusted and with a good predictive power of dropout. It is highlighted that daytime students, those who work and those who describe less involvement in the initial weeks of the course have an increased risk of dropout, and the role of involvement in withdraw is less than that of other variables. These results reaffirm the need to improve indicators that can help identify students at risk of dropout, particularly the use of context variables.
