Abstract

This study sought to understand the experiences of young people regarding situations of prejudice and racial discrimination, as well as the practices of resistance in the school context. The research was developed in two stages: in the first, 05 workshops were held with students and teachers from a state school in Serra Talhada - PE; in the second stage, the workshops were transcribed in full and analyzed based on thematic analysis, considering how the intersectionality of gender, class, race and ethnicity reverberates in the subjective processes of young people. Through the accounts of young people and teachers, we reflected on the oppressions and inequalities suffered and/or witnessed at school and outside this environment. In addition, we observed the resistance strategies constructed by students in the face of the inequalities and oppressions experienced.
