REFLEXÕES TEÓRICAS, METODOLÓGICAS E PRÁTICAS DO MODELO TRIÁRQUICO DA INTELIGÊNCIA DE STERNBERG
Abstract
The study aimed to carry out a theoretical, methodological and practical reflection on the Sternberg Triarchic Model of Intelligence, pointing out possible ways to strengthen the theory regarding the reliability of the STAT (Sternberg Triarchic Abilities Test). The Triarchic Model understands intelligence as being developed throughout the subject's life, taking into account the influence of the context for its development, noting that it does not weaken as people get older but rather adapts to the changes caused by the social environment and age. This theoretical model is structured in three basic components: (a) metacomponents, (b) performance components, and (c) knowledge acquisition components, which are essential for carrying out tasks related to reasoning. According to this theoretical model and the discussions presented, it can be seen that the Triarchic Model of Intelligence has a good theoretical structure, based on a well-articulated structure of the main components that support its understanding of intelligence. Problems related to theoretical, practical and methodological issues were also perceived, making both the theory and its respective test complicated, as there is no easy access to the instrument validation study, which hinders the replication of the study and the use of this instrument in diverse populations.
