Literature is contextualized as an indispensable element for human formation, as well as for the development of critical thinking, based on the teaching that favors the formation of obligations and protagonists, able to assume responsibility and who learn to say their word. It emphasizes the role of the teacher as a mediator in the teaching and learning process, as a reader subject, who is not excluded from positions, but who shares their readings, without, however, imposing them. In this sense, theoretical foundations have presented that address the importance of literature, in the formation of a more human subject and one who knows how to position himself in front of the readings he makes, whether from books or the world that are provided to him daily life. It is intended that this research can contribute to educators in related fields in reflecting on their role in teaching specific literature classes.
