IMPACTO DA RESIDÊNCIA PEDAGÓGICA NA FORMAÇÃO DOS ACADÊMICOS DE LICENCIATURA EM EDUCAÇÃO FÍSICA.

RESUMO
O Programa de Residência Pedagógica (PRP), vinculado à CAPES, tem se destacado como uma política pública inovadora voltada à qualificação da formação inicial de professores, especialmente nos cursos de Licenciatura em Educação Física. Ao promover uma imersão sistemática dos licenciandos em ambientes escolares reais, o PRP fortalece a articulação entre teoria e prática, possibilitando a construção de saberes docentes mais contextualizados, críticos e reflexivos. O programa contribui para o desenvolvimento de competências pedagógicas essenciais, como o planejamento, a avaliação e a mediação da aprendizagem, ao mesmo tempo que favorece a construção da identidade profissional docente. A experiência no PRP permite aos estudantes compreenderem a complexidade da escola contemporânea, enfrentarem desafios reais e elaborarem práticas pedagógicas inclusivas e transformadoras. Embora ainda enfrente limitações estruturais e formativas, o PRP representa uma importante estratégia para o fortalecimento da Educação Física como componente curricular essencial na formação integral dos estudantes da Educação Básica.

ABSTRAC
The Pedagogical Residency Program (PRP), linked to CAPES, has stood out as an innovative public policy aimed at qualifying initial teacher training, especially in Physical Education undergraduate courses. By promoting a systematic immersion of undergraduates in real school environments, the PRP strengthens the connection between theory and practice, enabling the construction of more contextualized, critical and reflective teaching knowledge. The program contributes to the development of essential pedagogical skills, such as planning, assessment and mediation of learning, while also favoring the construction of the professional identity of teachers. The experience in the PRP allows students to understand the complexity of contemporary schools, face real challenges and develop inclusive and transformative pedagogical practices. Although it still faces structural and formative limitations, the PRP represents an important strategy for strengthening Physical Education as an essential curricular component in the comprehensive education of Basic Education students.
