PRÁTICAS CULTURAIS E ESPORTIVAS COMO CONCEPÇÃO DE SAÚDE/DOENÇA DE RIBEIRINHOS NA AMAZÔNIA

Abstract

This article is an excerpt from the master’s dissertation entitled “Phenomenological understanding of the concept of health/illnes of riparian in the metropolitan region of Manaus”, wich sought to understand the meaning attributed by people from two riverside communities in the metropolitan region of the city of Manaus about the dyad health/disease based on Martin Heidegger’s philosophy. Ten participants were considered collaborators in this research (5 men and 5 women). The article seeks to communicate one of its main results, the use of natural teas and medicinal plants as a cultural practice of care related to health and disease, sports and leisure activities as a form of health and belonging. It is concluded that system, maintain the cultural experience that is intergenerational and was learned from their ancestors about health care.
