MARUJADA DE SÃO BENEDITO DE FREGUESIA DO ANDIRÁ: UM PATRIMÔNIO CULTURAL A SER (RE)CONHECIDO
Abstract
This scientific article is a study about the Festa dos Marujos de São Benedito in Freguesia do Andirá, municipality of Barreirinha (AM). A manifestation of Afro-Amazonian popular culture that for over 100 years expresses our identity. An authentic and valuable Intangible Cultural Heritage that needs to be safeguarded, known and recognized. To understand the identified problem and build ideas and paths of knowledge that can lead to the desired changes, this study followed 4 paths: The history, culture, education and the overcoming. The main guiding referen ces of this journey were: CERQUA (2009), FURNES (1995), GALVÃO (1953), BELTRÃO JÚNIOR (2015) and TRINDADE (2010). A qualitative research was carried out based on participant observation (ethnography) and semi-structured interviews, carried out with participants of the party in the years 2018 and 2020, this year's statements being made remotely (phone calls and messages), due to the distance measures in prevention to COVID-19. The audios obtained through recording were transcribed, with the permission of the participants, in addition to a bibliographic review and documentary analysis. In short, this work reported the results of the analysis of the four investigation paths of the Festa dos Marujos de São Benedito de Freguesia do Andirá.
