CAPRICHOSO, O BOI DE NEGRO: DOS TERREIROS DE AXÉ, NOSSO BRADO DE FÉ!
Abstract
“CAPRICHOSO”, THE BLACK’S OX: FROM “TERREIROS” OF “AXÉ”, OUR CRY OF FAITH!
Abstract: Thinking about what many believe (not) can be said about the Amazon within the universe of the oxen of Parintins, the text aims to debate, based on discussions about religious representations and / or the faiths of the “Caprichoso” 2019 show - “A song of hope for the brasilis motherhood”, the meanings attributed to the african and afro-indigenous field. To this end, the methodology undertaken was that of critical bibliographic review in the face of comments sketched by fans and “critics” of the presentation, apprehended in social networks, blogs and other media, in addition to analysis of Boi-Bumbá Caprichoso presentations and documents bumbá, in a historical retreat. The data make it possible to show how much these discussions are tied to stereotypes and prejudices about what this broad and complex Amazon would be, in relation to everything that composes it. It can be concluded that there is an urgent and necessary debate on the subject, seeing in the history of the boi-bumbá Caprichoso that the theme is not new for bumbá, being, in fact, facing a scenario marked by the advancement of conservative ideas that confuse the Amazon with something sealed and idealized.
