BOI-BUMBÁ GARANTIDO 2018: UM AUTO DE RESISTÊNCIA CULTURAL NA AMAZÔNIA
Abstract
The show “Auto da Resistência Cultural”, presented in 2018 by Boi-bumbá Garantido, used the Parintins Folk Festival as a media platform to echo a discourse where art appears as an instrument of social transformation. During the three nights of presentation, through dance, music, theater and plastic arts, the association proposed to amplify the voices of the peoples of the forest in the search for the affirmation of their identities, in the struggle for a society open to diversity and in building a conscience capable of making humanity more just and fraternal. This article aims to address how the proposal for this show arises, is built and executed, as well as its fundamentals.
